About the Liberty Caribbean Foundation

The Liberty Caribbean Foundation (LCF) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Federal Tax ID: 82-2831410) committed to connecting and empowering Caribbean communities. Through a focus on digital inclusion, disaster preparedness, and community resilience, the Foundation helps bridge gaps in access, opportunity, and technology across the Caribbean and Latin America.

Our Story

The Foundation was launched in 2017 originally known as the Cable & Wireless Charitable Foundation, following the devastating impact of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. It began with an initial investment of US$500,000 from our parent company to support relief and recovery efforts eventually mobilizing additional funds from partners, customers, and employees to help rebuild lives and livelihoods.

In 2025, we became the Liberty Caribbean Foundation, a name that reflects our bold commitment to empowering communities and driving sustainable development across the Caribbean.

Our Mission

To connect and empower Caribbean communities by leveraging resources, expertise, and partnerships to support disaster relief, enable digital inclusion, and drive social progress across the region.

What We Do

We respond with urgency and compassion in times of disaster, while also helping communities prepare for and recover from future challenges. Beyond immediate relief, we invest in long-term resilience by providing funding, technology, and upskilling opportunities that help Caribbean nationals adapt, grow, and thrive. Since our founding, the Liberty Caribbean Foundation has donated millions of dollars to support local, regional, and international partners with impactful relief and recovery projects.
