The CWCF Big Challenge
Proceeds will go towards our JUMP initiative
This October, two important challenges will take place across Latin America and the Caribbean to raise awareness and funds for the Cable & Wireless Charitable Foundation (CWCF).
The People & Comms, Legal and IT Teams will attempt 24-hours of non-stop health and fitness activity, with each member of the team undertaking an hour of individual exercise before passing the baton on to another team-mate. CWCF Directors Ruchi Kaushal (Legal), Itay Yefet (IT) and Dom Boon (People & Comms) will kick off the 24 hours of continuous exercise by being the first to complete their hour of activity! All three functions will complete the challenge simultaneously.
In our second challenge, CWCF Director Dom Boon will attempt to swim from the British Virgin Islands to the US Virgin Islands, a distance of 12 miles or 20km (depending on currents). This will be the first ever attempt to swim this route by an open water swimmer and it will take around 8 hours to complete. This will be his second long-distance open water swim for the CWCF, having swum from St. Lucia to Martinique in 2022. We will be cheering him on!
You can show your support and encourage everyone to complete the CWCF Big Challenge by donating to the Cable & Wireless Charitable Foundation. Proceeds from the challenge will go towards our JUMP initiative, which aims to end the digital divide by donating devices and helping low-socio economic families and schools across the Caribbean connect to the internet.
