Good corporate citizenship

The Cable & Wireless Communications Procurement Policy states that ‘Cable & Wireless Communications recognises the importance of good corporate citizenship and of promoting and maintaining high standards of social, ethical and environmental (SEE) conduct. We also commit to ensuring that our key suppliers and contractors adopt a similar responsible approach’.

All of our strategic suppliers now complete a sustainable procurement questionnaire designed to highlight any supply chain risks which can be investigated further. The questionnaire covers: labour practice, health, safety and environment including climate strategy, as well as the energy efficiency of products and services.

During 2009-10 the process was extended cover the top 5 regional suppliers.
