Direct & Digital

Monaco Telecom creates a digital viewing revolution for residents of the Principality.

We aim to introduce innovative services in the countries in which we operate. Recently we launched new TV and broadband services in Monaco. Our business there, Monaco Telecom, launched a TV over broadband (IPTV) service through a set top box, called TVBox.

Monaco Telecom launched its TVBox to coincide with the official launch of digital television in the Principality on 7 June 2010. The device was endorsed by the Government of Monaco, and its launch ceremony was attended by H.S.H. Prince Albert II.

The TVBox gives our customers access to a large number of interactive functions, wireless streaming as well as video on demand. Our customers also have the ability to record, pause or rewind live programmes. Monaco residents can now receive several new channels too, including high definition (HD) programming.

At the same ceremony, Monaco Telecom also launched high speed broadband internet. We are giving every household the chance to access a high speed 30mbps connection via a very-high bitrate digital subscriber line (VDSL) modem. The fast speeds of VDSL mean that it is capable of supporting high bandwidth applications such as HDTV, as well as telephone services and wireless internet access over a single connection.

Together with the Government we are committed to investment in the modernisation and the digitisation of Monaco’s network. Our investment means our customers can enjoy the very best next generation services.
